Team Chicago was launched in 2019 by Dr. Edie Chan. They went on their inaugural trip to Uganda in 2021 where they completed 87 general surgical and plastic surgery operations.

About our team

Inspired by their first trip in 2021, Team Chicago has continued to travel on annual missions, including to Ghana, Uganda, and Tanzania. The team has performed dozens of successful operations for those in need in general surgery, plastics, head and neck, and gynecology.

They look forward to completing yearly mission trips to continue the mission of OI.
