Team Chicago is a dedicated group of medical professionals headed to Ecuador in May to provide general surgery, plastics, craniofacial and ENT care to patients in need. This will mark our fifth mission with Operation International and our first visit to the country of Ecuador. Our goal is provide as many life-altering and life-changing surgeries to as many patients as we can in the time we are there.
Team Chicago was launched in 2019 by Dr. Edie Chan. We went on their inaugural trip to Uganda in 2021 where we completed 87 general surgical and plastic surgery operations. The team has continued to go on annual mission trips, including to Ghana and Tanzania.
