Team Chicago is a dedicated group of medical professionals headed to Kenya in May to provide general surgery, plastics, craniofacial and ENT care to patients in need. This will mark their fifth mission with Operation International and the first visit to the country of Kenya. The goal is provide as many life-altering and life-changing surgeries to as many patients as they can in the time they are there.
Team Chicago was launched in 2019 by Dr. Edie Chan. We went on their inaugural trip to Uganda in 2021 where we completed 87 general surgical and plastic surgery operations. The team has continued to go on annual mission trips, including to Ghana and Tanzania.
