Thien-Nhien Luong is the president of VANGO network, and CEO of Design Capital Asia, a non-profit and non-governmental organization based in the USA and Vietnam whose mission is to eradicate poverty through youth empowerment. Thien Nhien obtained her undergraduate degree in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry from UCSB and MPH in Epidemiology from UCLA. Because of Thien Nhien’s familiarity with Vietnam, she had been asked by several non-profit organizations to consult on health-related projects to serve the poor population. Thien Nhien joins OI Cleft Repair team as NGO advisor to help us secure collaborative agreements between our team and the host hospital in Vietnam.
