Thao has been an RN for about 14 years and fell in love with the profession when working as a receptionist at Kaiser. Her first career was as an elementary school teacher after graduating from UCI. She is will be graduating with her BSN in June of this year. Thao is passionate about her Catholic faith and spirituality and so volunteering is something she feels she can do for others, but “I don’t believe it’s completely selflessness. It’s not completely selflessness because I also love to travel to Vietnam, to be in the country where I was born and grew up for the first 9 years of my life. And it’s a medical mission, my profession which I have the skills to offer and hope to bring compassion, joy, love, and peace to others.”
