Dr. Irizarry is a New York City-based board-certified Otolaryngologist-Head and Neck surgeon. She completed medical school and residency at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY then completed a head and neck oncology and microvascular reconstruction fellowship at Emory University in Atlanta, GA. She serves as Director of Otolaryngology-head and neck surgery at NYCHHC/Mount Sinai Queens Hospital, as well as Chief of head and neck, robotic, and microvascular reconstructive surgery at the James J. Peters Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center in the Bronx, NY. She also works as an attending surgeon at NYC HHC/Mount Sinai Elmhurst Hospital. Dr. Irizarry has a strong interest in health equity and will be joining Team Surgical Relief on their mission to Ghana in June 2023.
