Nina was originally from Taiwan and completed her nursing degree before immigrating to the United States in 1997. She also practiced as a registered dental assistant for 8 years before she returned to her nursing roots. Nina is currently working in a trauma center serving the most vulnerable patient population in San Jose. In addition, she participated as an OR nurse in Operation Rainbow's orthopedic surgery team in 2019 at Comayagua, Honduras, and Project Vietnam Foundation's cleft palate surgery team in 2022 at Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. She is fascinated by how surgery can transform a person's life and loves to contribute to making a difference.
