Dr. Ki Won Kim was born in Queens, NY and raised in nearby Fort Lee, NJ. He left to the opposite coast for his undergraduate education at the University of California, Berkeley, where he majored in anthropology. He returned to NYC for his medical education at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai where he also completed an additional year of research in surgical oncology. Dr. Kim then completed his general surgery residency at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx and pursued additional sub-specialty training in endocrine surgery with a fellowship at the University of Miami in partnership with Jackson Memorial Hospital. He has particular interest in thyroid, parathyroid, and adrenal surgery with an academic interest in thyroid cancer and non-operative management of multinodular goiters. Dr. Kim is also passionate about medical education and global missions. He currently practices general and endocrine surgery at Englewood Health in northern NJ.
