Dr Jeannie Labat-Butler is a board-certified Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) and Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP). Jeannie earned her Bachelors of Science and Bachelors of Arts in physiology and economics with a minor in accounting from UC Davis and Cal state Dominguez Hills. Jeannie completed her Masters of Science in Nursing in 2009 from Frontier University followed by her Doctorate in 2014. Jeannie served as an ER RN for 10 years before she moved on to her role as a nurse practitioner, which continues within the emergency department at Kaiser Permanente in Northern California’s Central Valley. Jeannie has served in emergency medicine for over 23 years, which remains to be her passion. Jeannie participated in her first cleft palate/cleft lip repair mission in 2022 in Saigon, Vietnam, and was so enamored with being able to see the direct positive outcome postoperatively that she has made it a permanent part of her life. As Director of nursing with Operation International, Jeannie would like to see an expansion of Nursing education, consistency of policy and procedure and ensure safety of practice within the scope of nursing.
