Grecia Solano de Vasquez is an oral surgery/general dentistry assistant and a recent Dental Hygiene graduate pending license approval. She came to the United States 6 years ago, holding a General Dentist title awarded in 2003 from Universidad Autonoma de Santo Domingo and 13 years of experience practicing general dentistry in the Dominican Republic. Between 2003 and 2017, she participated as a general dentist in missions to help people in poor towns, jails, and hospitals in her native country. In 2017, She moved from the Dominican Republic to New York, where her new journey as a dental assistant/ hygiene student began. As a Dental Hygiene student, she was the class president and dental hygiene tutor and held an ADHA award, among others, for the 2023 class. She has now split her time between surgical assisting and dental hygiene tutoring at CUNY Hostos Community College. On weekends, she volunteers to teach religious education to kids at her church. In her free time, she enjoys cooking and dancing. Outdoor activities with her family are also her hobbies.
