Team Michigan completed their 2024 mission to Uganda and performed 94 surgeries, including tumor removals, hernia repairs, and cleft repairs.
While in Uganda, the team also visited Operation International's schools and orphanages. The trip was the team's first mission under new team leader Dr. Attasit Chokechanachaisakul, who took over in 2024.
"With compassion as their guide and expertise as their tool, these dedicated professionals performed life-saving surgeries, bringing healing and renewed possibility to those in need," team leader Dr. Attasit Chokechanachaisakul said. "Join us as we witness the transformative power of medicine and the unwavering spirit of humanity, uniting across continents to create a brighter future for the people of Rakai."
