Team Manhattan finished their 2024 mission in Tanzania, completing 70 complex cases in just one week. The team was also able to continue the tradition of educating the local healthcare providers to provide sustainable health care in the region.
Team Manhattan focuses on providing head and neck and craniofacial surgical care. The team was established in 2022 by Drs. Mona Gangar and Dilip Madnani. Both Mona and Dilip have traveled with different teams of Operation International in the past before deciding to establish their own team. The 2024 mission was the team’s third mission since forming in 2022 and their first time in Tanzania, where Operation International has grown a base for repeat surgical missions and infrastructure.
