Team Florida completed an astonishing 151 surgeries in just five days at Holy Family Hospital in Techiman, Ghana during their 2024 mission. Procedures included tumor and cyst removal, hernia repairs and cleft lip/palate repairs, just to name a few.
Team Florida is an international collaborative mission with a multi-specialty group of diverse individuals that have vast experience in their fields. The multi-disciplinary team can tackle complex general surgery, pediatric surgery, plastic surgery, head and neck surgery, and urologic surgery. Team FL also has a critical care outreach program and actively enrolls indigenous physicians and health care professionals in a certification course called Fundamentals of Critical Care Support Course through the Society of Critical Care Medicine
