The goal of the Women's Health Team 2025 mission is to establish a new site for Operation International in Ecuador, as well as provide care to underserved women in the region.
The Women's Health Team was established in 2023 by Dr. Vito Alamia Jr. Dr. Alamia has been a Team NY member for more than 20 years, and is a board member of Operation International.
The Women’s Health Team completed a successful first mission as a dedicated team with Operation International in 2024. The volunteers finished an impressive 63 procedures during just one week in Ghana, including myomectomies, hysterectomies, laparoscopic procedures, and general surgery.
