Team Manhattan finished their second mission as a team in Bolivia, completing an impressive 70 cases during just five days. These life-changing surgeries include cleft lip/palate repair, benign tumor removal, cleft rhinoplasty, and more.
Team Manhattan was established in 2022 by Drs. Mona Gangar and Dilip Madnanai. Both Mona and Dilip have traveled with different teams of Operation International in the past before deciding to establish their own team.
Among the cases the team saw in Bolivia were many cleft lip/palate repair and cleft rhinoplasty, a surgery that reshapes the nose in patients with an uneven nasal appearance due to cleft lip and palate. The team also successfully repaired a facial defect due to cancer.
